Casey Gilbert is a California born, Texas raised, New York City-based actor/singer/songwriter/musician. She wrote her first song when she was three years old and was cast in her first musical at eight and hasn't let anyone drag her off stage since. She grew up performing around the Houston area then took her talents to Nashville for two years as a student of commercial vocal performance at Belmont University. While in Nashville, Casey became deeply involved in the city's vibrant theatre scene and continued to develop her talents on stage as an actor.

After two years in the music department at Belmont University, Casey transferred to Texas A&M University. While completing a Sport Management degree, she released her first full-length album, Not Afraid To Lose, in July 2013. The album features 10 songs, eight written solo, one co-write and a cover of Derek Aramburu's "Save Me Again." After taking some time off to find some inspiration in her writing, she returns this fall with a new single, Never Goes Down Easy.

In Houston, Casey was seen on the stage at the Theatre Under the Stars in Heathers (Martha), Bonnie & Clyde (Trish), and Oliver! (Milkmaid/Old Woman) and at Main Street Theater in The Bridge to Terabithia (Brenda/piano). Since moving to New York City, Casey has had the privilege to work with composer Bobby Cronin on new works including Til Death Do Us Part (Lynne) and Mary & Max (Katherine and others). She also began a YouTube series called The Comforter Covers with new songs released every Monday.
