Casey Gilbert is a California born, Texas raised, New York City-based actor/singer/songwriter/musician/sports aficionado/haver of fun. She received her training from The Academy at Theatre Under The Stars in Houston and continued training at Belmont University as a commercial vocal performance major. Then she thought, screw it, let's get a degree in Sport Management (???) at Texas A&M University.

After working in the sports industry for a year after graduation, she was called back to the theatre world and made her debut as a member of AEA on the same stage she trained on years prior at Theatre Under The Stars (she cried, it was kinda sweet). After spending a year in the Houston theatre scene, she moved to New York City because she loves having anxiety attacks.

Since moving to the city, she has had the privilege of working with composer Bobby Cronin in developmental readings for Mary & Max and Til Death Do Us Part. She also spent a summer in the mountains of West Virginia playing Katie in The Honky Tonk Laundry at the Greenbrier Valley Theatre. Most recently, Casey and collaborator Emily Nash performed their self-produced cabaret Beta Bitches & Beta Blockers: An Anxious Cabaret to a sold out crowd at The Duplex.

When not performing, Casey enjoys working with the kiddos of the UES and managing the record label of a that one guy from The Sopranos. She also loves a glass of cab sav and writing music, learning a new instrument, searching for the perfect folk/rock vinyl to add to her record collection, or reading a suspense thriller in her spare time (...or rather she would love all of those things if she ever had a day off).
